Day 1: Macon or Bust!

Jump back to the night before we leave Boston.  I had just got off work and rushed home to pack stayed up till 2am packing and was barely being able to close my eyes because I was so excited.  Unfortunately, I forgot to set my alarm clock.  I wake up at 615am in panic.  I am suppose to be at the van station at 630am. So I grab my luggage and rush downstairs calling a cab in the elevator.  Once in the cab I start to breath again until I realize Im on the whole opposite side of campus heading towards Morse Auditorium instead of the Feuller Building which I now know is three blocks away from my apartment.  Finally, I make it to the van lot of course the last person to arrive and everyone waiting on me...making a great first impression per usual.
Our first stop is at Kaela's new house in Mendham, NJ.  We had a wonderful lunch hosted by the Asharin family.  After bagging every leftover and raiding her pantry we were off again, next stop Washington, DC.
After hitting traffic in D.C. and getting lost for a solid hour we made it into the city.  A girl on my trip name Kat has an older brother who lives in D.C. and we met up with him for dinner at a great burger joint.  Next we toured the city stopping at a couple of monuments.
Finally after being exhausted and freezing we jumped back in the van and headed towards Macon.  It only took us an hour to get out of the city.  I think we went around Dupont Circle at least 5 times.
